The B9 RS5 appeared as a two-door Coupe and later as a five-door Sportback in selected markets. Although both share the same RS design language, their rear body structures are different. The Coupe uses a conventional trunk lid, while the Sportback uses a large rear hatch integrated into its coupe-like roofline.

A spoiler shaped for the Coupe trunk should not be assumed to fit the Sportback hatch, and a Sportback spoiler should not be treated as interchangeable with a Coupe design. The RS5, S5 and A5 share the broader B9 platform, so some exterior components can legitimately overlap. Parts attached to a shared mirror housing, headlight area or compatible trunk surface may cover several A5, S5 and RS5 applications when specifically tested and listed.
Bumper-mounted parts require much more caution. The RS5 uses its own front and rear styling, wider RS body treatment and distinctive diffuser and exhaust arrangement. An A5 S line or S5 front lip, splitter or rear diffuser should therefore not automatically be considered an RS5 part.
RS5 B9 vs B9.5: Why the Facelift Matters
The original B9 and later B9.5 RS5 belong to the same generation, but the facelift brought noticeable changes to the front and rear exterior. The updated model received a wider and flatter Singleframe treatment, revised air intakes, new bumper details, different sill trim and a revised rear diffuser area.
Because of these changes, front lips, splitters, diffusers and other bumper-mounted components should normally be matched to the correct B9 or B9.5 exterior. Trunk-mounted spoilers may sometimes span both versions when the mounting surface is unchanged and the product listing explicitly confirms compatibility.
